Identity Properties:

Additive Inverse

For each real number a, there is a unique real number, denoted -a,
such that

a + (-a) = 0.











Multiplicative Inverse
(or reciprocal)

For each real number a, except 0, there is a unique real number such that



Multiplication Property of Zero
The product of any number and 0 is equal to 0.

a*0 = 0*a = 0
